It's been four years since FX said goodbye to Sons of Anarchy, their exploration into the world of outlaw motorcycle culture. With Comic-Con looming, the network is banking on a return to the familiar with a spinoff, Mayans M.C., which references the Latin gang that was often a major player in the original universe who shared similar illicit desires as the aforementioned Redwoods charter.

Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Mayans M.C. focuses on Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, a newly paroled convict/prospect in the motorcycle club who must reconcile returning to a town where he was once the polar opposite of who he is today.

Sons of Anarchy co-creator, Kurt Sutter, is back for a second go around. Thus, fans of the original series can plan on plenty of blood, insane two-wheeled chases, and family turmoil.

Mayans M.C. premires on FX on September 4.
