Luxury lifestyle brand MCM is coming through this season to give your daily rotation a playful prep injection.

Titled Back to School, the label’s AW22 is a throwback to your high school days. Yet rather than pulling inspiration from the classroom and delivering a collection full of the expected elbow patches and letterman sweaters, MCM’s approach is purely focused on all things fun. Specifically, recess — think locker rooms, sports fields, and wherever else you’d chill in-between class.

As we’ve come to expect from the brand since Dirk Schönberger took the helm of Creative Director, this collection is packed with fresh takes on classic silhouettes. Naturally, the leather goods are the centerpiece — although any Back to School collection would be incomplete without a range of leather backpacks, side bags, and totes. Here you’ll find them all either decked out in MCM’s signature motif, the new MCMotor Visetos print, or in classic black.

The German brand’s adorable “Haus canine” M Pup also features heavily, blazoned throughout the ready-to-wear collection. Personally, though, we’re into the puffer jackets, polo shirts, and bucket hats, which should be worn together for full effect.

MCM’s Back to School collection drops in-store and online this month. Check the lookbook in the gallery up top and shop the full collection here.
