Double Tap to Zoom

Back in November, a song called "Bright Blue Bathrobe" made its way into my inbox. We premiered it, it kept getting stuck in my head, and it was probably the source of most of the serotonin in my brain this winter. Happily, mona on the radio has been working on even more addictive earworms... a whole album's worth! Hi, I'm Mona is the singer-songwriter's debut full-length, and it's 12 tracks of pure pop bliss.

"This album is everything I’ve been feeling over the past two years," mona tells us over email. "I wrote the whole thing in my car, every day recording a new voice note that I eventually pieced together into these 12 songs... It’s basically the soundtrack to a late 2000’s teen comedy."

With its heartfelt and clever relatable lyrics, Hi I'm Mona has something for everyone. Musings on heartbreak, following your dreams, golden retrievers, and much more. As mona puts it, "I hope they can relate to a boy who overthinks everything and likes to sing about girls they can’t let go." Stream Hi I'm Mona below.
