In 1997, Keizo Shimizu launched the brand Needles out of Japan. The idea was to reimagine classic American silhouettes in eccentric and exciting new fabrics: his first-ever piece took inspiration from a suit jacket Miles Davis was known to wear in the '60s.
Since then, the brand has grown to international fame and captured the attention of style stars the world over. Take, for instance, A$AP Rocky, whose AWGE collective partnered with Needles in 2018 and 2019, with another capsule earlier this year.
