Editor's Notes:  Ask yourself, what are the most recognizable sneakers of all time? We're all going to come to our own conclusions, but the Air Jordan 1, Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, Puma Suedes, and Three Stripes' shell-toed Superstar probably come to mind. These silhouettes have remained largely untampered and ever-popular, showing the timelessness each exudes.

As its name would suggest, the Superstar has been somewhat of a frontman for adidas throughout the years, becoming a generational subcultural icon. Much of this long-standing adoration can be attested to the shoe's proximity to hip-hop through Run-D.M.C; and numerous collaborations with the likes of BAPE and Pharrell in recent history.

Collaborations have played a pivotal role in maintaining the sneakers' contemporary relevance, and NEIGHBORHOOD has shown itself to be particularly fond of the silhouette. Three Stripes celebrated the 10th anniversary of Consortium with a NEIGHBORHOOD Superstar in 2015, and the bond between the brands has found its way onto several other adidas silhouettes.

The Superstar 80 is back in the limelight for the latest collab between the two, offering a revised take on the traditional white leather makeup. Suede uppers with leather overlays are the basis for the remix, with bulky zip units at the tongue and zigzag stitching creating a militaristic finish.

Similar to previous releases, the NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals Superstar 80 comes in a monochrome black and white finish, but this time around sits alongside a tonal military green.
