Caramel Has Never Looked This Clean on a New Balance Retro Sneaker
There are plenty of sneakers that look good in fall. Really, it's not hard, but every now and then one comes along that feels like it was practically made for the season.
The New Balance Gator Run is most certainly one of them.
The Bark and Linen colorway is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. The rich brown leather gives the sneaker an instant fall feel, while the lighter details break things up without taking away from all that earthy goodness. Then there are the muted green laces, which are a particularly nice touch. They add just enough color to keep the whole thing from feeling too safe.
The Gator Run takes cues from archive turf silhouettes, keeping things low to the ground and nicely streamlined. But it’s the leather construction that really makes this particular version stand out. There’s something about a brown leather sneaker that just feels right once the weather starts turning, especially when it’s paired with softer Linen details and those understated green laces.
And honestly, it’s just a beautiful sneaker. Nothing is fighting for attention here. The colors and materials all work together without trying too hard, resulting in the sort of sneaker that feels immediately at home in a fall wardrobe.
Calling it now, fall has found its sneaker.
