The Nike ACG LDV in "Monarch Purple" takes Nike's All Conditions Gear offerings, known for withstanding all sorts of outdoor hullabaloo, and sets it on a pristine throne.

Purple, the color of royalty, ripstop nylon comprises the sneaker's breathable upper, while darker leather paneling at the heel, toe, and eyestay upgrades the sneaker's textural composition, pushing the technical shoe just over the fashion sneaker threshold.

 A rugged outsole readies the shoe for more turbulent terrains while Nike's ReactX cushioning keeps comfort at the forefront. Coziness and ruggedness don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Nike's LDV sneaker, AKA the Long Distance Vector, debuted in the late 1970s and evolved from Bill Bowerman's famous waffle outsole design for long-distance runners.
