First introduced during the golden era of non-OG colorways back in 2003 and last seen in 2015, one of Jordan Brand’s most revered mid-2000s classics is making its long-awaited return. The Air Jordan 8 Chrome revives Tinker Hatfield’s strap-laden 1993 silhouette for a new generation.

What makes the Chrome 8 so iconic is its subversion of traditional Chicago Bulls palettes. While the Air Jordan 8 is best known for its vibrant Aqua and red-accented colorways, this release strips away high-contrast colors in favor of a sleek, dark aesthetic punctuated by metallic hardware. 

Drenched in a deep Black/Chrome palette, the shoe trades standard leather panels for a rich, velvety black durabuck upper. Metallic silver details provide sharp contrast against the all-black foundation alongside the optical illusion of the side panels which are delivered in brush-stroke detailing to mimic chrome.

The upper features the signature cross-over midfoot straps equipped with metallic silver strap buckles that lend the pair its Chrome naming. Monochromatic chenille Jumpman tongue patches and embroidered 23 strap branding up the detail score.

The shoe stays faithful to its 1993 origins with a supportive phylon midsole housing encapsulated Air cushioning. The sculpted black, white, and grey rubber outsole maintains the classic geometric tread pattern, echoing the brush strokes of the side panels.
