Game Recognize Game: On & Highsnobiety Champion Winners of Every Kind

Every year in New York City, just as summer’s final chapter draws to a close, the best of the best—on and off the court—head out to Queens for a one-of-a-kind sporting spectacle. Between the lines, world-class athletes go blow for blow in a test of physical skill and mental fortitude, as many of our favorite faces and notable names watch from the grandstand with admiration and respect. It’s “game recognizes game” at the highest level, a cultural convergence where those at the top of their craft share a defining moment in time.

Arriving at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Highsnobiety teamed up with On, the premier Swiss sportswear brand, to champion winners of every kind. Gathering a few key players from across varied industries and diverse disciplines, the two powerhouses curated an exclusive suite experience for those who understand a bit about what it takes to hang with the best.

For just over a decade, On has consistently strived to elevate its standard of excellence, honing in on the minute details and nuances that prove to make the most significant difference. This dedication to the margins—the space where greatness is truly forged—is what has distinguished the brand from its competitors in such a short period, transforming a once-obscure central European company into a contemporary titan of industry. So when it comes to discerning the “pros” from the pretenders, On is as well-versed as they come.

Hosted by Highsnobiety Editor-in-Chief Noah Johnson, the evening brought together the likes of clothing designer Emily Dawn Long and seminal wardrobe stylist Becky Akinyode to culinary It-boy, Pierce Abernathy, and podcast personality James Harris of Throwing Fits fame, as they mingled before the matches began. Just as the first serve entered play, the group migrated toward their seats, tightly clutching melon ball-garnished cocktails as they zeroed in on the action below.

Following a dominant display of tennis excellence, model Lindsay Vrčkovnik and comedic everyman Dan Rosen unpacked gift bags filled with some signature items from both brands as they continued trading insights about what had just transpired.

Hanging around for a few post-match sips, the intimate collective reveled in the company of close friends and longtime collaborators. Toasting to a night of peak performance, On and Highsnobiety are maintaining that winning mentality even after the final point has been tallied.
