Porsche Design Sport by adidas marries two superlative brands and fuses industry leading performance technology with a unique attention to form. The result is highly engineered luxury sportswear with serious torque, and for Fall/Winter 2016 the duo has released a sophisticated new collection.

Inspired by urban adventure and elite physical performance, the range combines comfort and style for the most extreme conditions and harshest climates. The collection features apparel, footwear and accessories split into two lines.

Outdoor Training comprises T-shirts, shorts, tights, jackets, footwear and accessories engineered to protect wearers against the elements. Advanced technical fabrics and detailing boost performance, offering practical and sophisticated style choices. The Elements presents equally stylish and versatile training solutions for various conditions. It includes insulated down jackets, reflective shells, graphic insulation vests, winterized training shoes, boots and accessories. Here are some of our favorite pieces from both.

For truly superior warmth, the Functional Down Jacket is 90% duck down, water-repellent and wind-resistant. Its streamlined design, breathable ventilated zips, inner pockets and adjustable, detachable hood means it’s ideal for extreme conditions.

If you need a stylish but equally utilitarian bag for on-the-go, the Cargo Backpack is this collections solution. It has a main compartment with zipper, laptop compartment on the inside and two mesh pockets on the front. Functional details include contrast color lining, water resistant material, padded back and adjustable shoulder and chest straps.

The ODT Hoodie, part of the Outdoor Training range, features climaheat—an advanced hollow-fibre fleece—for quick drying and heat-trapping insulation. Efficient design details, such as reflective and water-repellent material on the shoulders and upper back, and an adjustable hood ensure wet weather won't hamper training.

To maintain a reasonable temperature during winter runs, the Reflective Run Vest could be indispensable. Intended to withstand the cold it is made of smooth, abrasion-resistant material with water-repellent, quilted overlays which reveal reflective graphics when lit. It's wool fleece lined and features a stand-up zipped collar.

The ODT Tech Fleece Top, also crafted from breathable climaheat, delivers superior defense against the cold while reflective print on the shoulders and hood provide a modern and technically sophisticated style feature. A high stand-up collar and adjustable hood further guarantee warmth.

Don’t judge men's tights before you’ve tried ‘em, in colder climates they’re invaluable. The ODT Tights feature climaheat technology, ankle zips, a back zip pocket for small items, reflective hexagon details and a snug compression.

Porsche Design Sport by adidas also continues to engineer functional footwear this season. The EC Running Shoe has a practical abrasion resistant rubber outsole that counteracts overpronation beneath a stylish textile upper with a clay-tone graphic print on the dirt trap and three stripes.

Alternatively, if it's Boost tech you're into, the PDS Tuned Mid features a Boost midsole and a smooth leather upper for a sleek Porsche look. A wintery lining retains warmth in the forefoot area and an external heel cap gives the shoe maximum stability.

Within accessories, functionality and comfort are key during winter. The ODT Gloves feature anti-slip silicone on the palm and touchscreen compatible material on the thumb and forefinger for usability without exposing extremities to the cold. Meanwhile, the soft, warm ODT Beanie with climawarm fleece has taped seams for enhanced wind protection and reflective details for visibility in the dark.
