Double Tap to Zoom

After months of delay, Smokepurpp has finally released his debut album, Deadstar 2.

The follow-up to his 2017 debut commercial mixtape Deadstar, the album boasts an impressive list of feature artists, including frequent collaborator Lil Pump, as well as Denzel Curry, Lil Skies, Ty Dolla $ign, and Moneybagg Yo. The trap album is 17 tracks heavy, a feat for the young rapper who admitted he had to rerecord the album many times.

Smokepurpp missed multiple release dates, leaving fans waiting for the project for the last year and a half. The 22 year-old rapper revealed in a recent interview with Power 105.1 that the delay was due to incessant leaks. "I really recorded this shit, like, four different times. Shit kept getting leaked. It would be six, seven songs would leak at a time, and that happened like three times."
