Soundboks Shrunk the Party, Not the Volume
Portable speakers are easy to carry. Party speakers are easy to hear. Until now, choosing one usually meant sacrificing the other.
Soundboks Rider would like a word. Or, more accurately, 118 decibels of them.
The Danish audio brand calls Rider the smallest party speaker ever made, packing serious volume into a backpack-sized frame. At 6.5 kg, it can be carried in one hand, slipped into a backpack, or strapped to a bike. Your spontaneous park hang just got significantly more raucous.
However, small does not mean precious. Rider comes wrapped in an IP66-rated, splash-proof body with a powder-coated steel grille and Soundboks' signature shock-resistant silicone corners. To prove the point, the brand reportedly fired it 110 meters into the sky. It survived multiple landings, which should cover most house parties.
The swappable battery offers up to 35 hours of playback at mid-volume or eight hours when pushed to the max. USB-C fast charging keeps downtime brief, while Bass+, Indoor, and Outdoor modes adjust the sound to suit the setting.
For anyone who prefers taking control, the Soundboks app includes a six-band EQ with unlimited custom profiles. Name them, save them, and bring them to any connected Soundboks speaker.
