Nike’s ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordans Went Full Bottega
How to celebrate 30 years of Space Jam ? The Jordan Brand answers with a Bottega-coded Air Jordan 11 sneaker.
The Jordan 11 Retro "Green Screen" sneaker is a tonal green take on the signature shoe, complete with sumptuous suede and nods to Michael Jordan's first and last major acting moment.
It's inspired by the green screens that helped bring Space Jam to life. However, I instantly got Bottega Veneta vibes with the shoes. They remind me of the brand's signature color, which has appeared on its packaging and its most famous accessories.
The Jordan 11s aren't a Bottega collab, though. They're a classic refreshed in a Bottega-ish way.
And yes, the shoes are very much fresh but they're also still connected to the brand's past. That's honestly the whole point of this massive anniversary collection. It brings together generations, and in turn, we get new Air Jordan 41 and Jordan Trunner O/S sneakers in Space Jam color schemes and details.
It's about time for the Jordan's 30th anniversary Space Jam collection. Some pieces from the collection are slated to release as early as November 5. The Jordan 11 "Green Screen" shoes will drop on November 14 on Nike's website for $225.
