New Balance's Latest Collab Is a 3-Headed GOAT
Great things happen when two GOATS collab. For the third time, Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is teaming up with NB.
The "Signature Collection" includes apparel and sneakers, including New Balance's best lifted-up dad shoe: The 9060. McLaughlin-Levrone's 9060v8 sneaker is an oat milk-hued iteration of what is essentially a New Balance dad shoe on stilts.
See, while New Balance dad shoes are categorically chunky, the 9060 transcends existing thique standards with its exaggerated, bulb-like pods, which give the sneaker its arched appearance.
First released in 2022, the NB 9060 was made by designers James Lee and Yue Wu to be a daily lifestyle sneaker despite pulling such strong inspo from high-tech NB runners like the 860 v2.
This duality mirrors Mc McLaughlin-Levrone's lifestyle as a whole as it relates to this collaboration and her life on and off the track.
When she's not setting world records for the 400-meter hurdles and revolutionizing the world of track as it stands, McLaughlin-Levrone is also a published author and designer, and she's recently added mom to her ever-expanding list of titles. Just as her real life spans different genres, her collection features sneakers made to do a little bit of everything.
In addition to the 9060v8, her collection includes the FuelCell Rebel v5, a daily running shoe, as well as the SuperComp MD-X v3, a track-ready cleat. Whatever your footwear fancy, this collection has you covered.
As they say, good things come in threes.
