For most of us, UGG is nostalgic. It’s a warm hug that keeps us snug when the weather doesn’t. With winter around the corner, it couldn’t be a better time for the brand to drop its new collection, UGGextreme (which we celebrated in Paris two weeks ago).

Worn with pretty much any fit anywhere, UGG footwear is a trusty go-to when the temperature drops. Winter should be lived at full volume, and the latest footwear offers the protection and comfort to do just that. Whether you’re in the mountains, forest, city, or at home, this new line has all the technical features you need to withstand whatever condition you’re in.

The fan-favorite Adirondack is back with the upgraded and waterproof Adirondack Meridian Boot. Designed to keep the wetness out but the air in (thanks to the GORE-TEX interior), the UGGplush wool blend interior means your toes won’t be going numb anytime soon. With the Vibram® outsole featuring an ICETREK compound for traction on slippery surfaces, these boots are made for walkin’, hikin’, and pretty much any icy activity.

Next up, we have the Shasta Boot Tall and Mid. For those who fancy a more maximalist look, the boots come complete with the same GORE-TEX and ICETREK details, finished off with high-quality leather, recycled featherless down, and a sugarcane midsole. And if the boots aren’t enough and you want a full UGG look, then the Shasta Down Puffer Jacket is a must-have. Heavy-duty and lined with luxe shearling, the water-resistant jacket can withstand temperatures down to -23.3°C — not to mention the polar fleece pockets means all your extremities are covered in your UGG fit.

Now it might sound like the collection is more for slope and mountain wear, but these eight UGG-lovers are here to show and tell you how to city-style them so that wherever you are this holiday season, your UGG boots aren’t far behind.

“These are extremely practical, it takes about three seconds to put them on, so if you have a fast life (or if you are always late), these are perfect. What I always loved about UGG is that you can style them in so many different ways. Here I’m wearing an oversized vintage wool men’s coat and a brown slip dress with lace details, but if you like big cargo pants or baggy jeans, that works too. I love it when shoes fit all my different personalities.”

"These UGG boots are surprisingly super lightweight, which makes them great for active days and running around as a city girl completing your to-do list. I’m a walking disco ball when it comes to my style, and I would wear these to a nightclub. The white colorway means you will definitely stand out from the crowd."

"These brown Shasta Mid’s are so easy to match with different types of pant cuts. I’m wearing a fleece jacket and flared jeans which are key details true to my style, and it just works. I think UGG is like the underdog, always following its own identity and finding ways to adapt to new trends, even now. I remember UGG from secondary school because all the girls I fell in love with were rocking a pair of Classic II’s!"

"I love a Lara Croft vibe, and these UGG boots are totally giving that. Paired with my oversized bomber, baby T-shirt, and mini shorts, these Shasta Tall’s are the perfect footwear option. I remember asking my mom to buy me my first UGG pair and here I am now!"

"To me, UGG is a brand that speaks to all generations, that’s what I love about it. It's hard today to find cool shoes with cool designs that are also cozy. It might be tough to believe, but I’d wear these on a beach in Mexico, that’s how easy to style they are!"

"When I was younger, only girls wore UGG boots, so I didn’t think of getting my own pair, but I saw how comfortable they looked. Over the years, UGG started to introduce styles for men and made me realize they could help create a whole new look. Here, for example, I’m wearing a full Junya Watanabe with my Shasta Mid’s, and they go so well together."

"My style is a mix of womenswear and menswear, and the fact that these UGG shoes are so universal means they match all my looks. I’m also ALWAYS cold, and these are the only shoes I have that actually keep my feet warm. I always dreamt of having UGG boots as a kid, but my parents would say, "You have one winter shoe, why do you need another?". A few years ago, I finally bought my first pair. It was a special moment for me."
