Usain Bolt, best known is arguably the greatest sprinter of all time, is trying his hand as a professional soccer player for Australia’s A-League Central Coast Mariners. In his first-ever start for the team, Bolt managed to score two goals in a 4-0 friendly victory against Macarthur South West United, a team made up of players hoping to win an A-League contract.

The Jamaican had long talked about wanting to play professional soccer after his sprinting career was over. His dream was to play for Manchester United, the team that he supports, but his skills were obviously not cut out for that level. And, although he scored two goals today, the A-League might not be his level either.

For his first goal, Bolt is put through and he uses his considerable frame and speed to get past the defender and slot home from a tight angle. Watch it below.

The second goal is a little more fortunate, as he goes chasing a long ball and finds himself alone in front of goal when the defender crashes into his goalkeeper, leaving Bolt to just tap it in.

Bolt celebrated the first goal with his famous lightning bolt pose before busting out Blocboy JB‘s shoot dance after scoring his second.

Watch both goals above and leave your thoughts on Bolt playing professional soccer. Is it just a publicity stunt or will he make a career out of it? Let us know in the comments.
