Under the creative direction of Belgian designer Glenn Martens, Y/Project is constantly pushing the fashion boundaries. Earlier this year, the Parisian label unveiled its FW18 collection at Paris Fashion Week, which premiered an unlikely capsule with UGG.

Understandably, the collaboration was a talking point for fashion circles through Paris Fashion Week. Turning the iconic ugg boot into insane high-fashion statements, we saw thigh-high UGGs, mules, shearling boots and even cozy shearling slides come down the runway. More recently, Y/Project revealed an artistic campaign featuring Venus, Apollo, Hercules, and other Greek divinities to support the collection.

UGG boots were already a pretty divisive shoe among fashion crowds, and the Y/Project iterations seem to be playing off this controversy with much wilder silhouettes and shapes for men and women alike. Below, however, are four super wearable, undeniably cozy, and fashion-forward iterations of the shoe that get the Highsnob stamp of approval.

While the polarizing thigh-high uggs are a rare find at retailers, the triple-layered shearling boots and slides in black and tan can now be shopped, and are guaranteed to make a bold statement through the colder months ahead.
