Brand: Yulexis

Season: Spring/Summer 2019

Key Pieces: The silk “Rags to Riches” button-down shirt is not only a standout piece, it's a deeply personal document of the painter and designer, Yulexis Argota's personal journey. One side of the brilliant pink shirt features street carts from New York, with the other flaunting a collage of post cards from all over the world. The combination of the two is a frenetic celebration of entrepreneurial spirit, and an incitement to follow your “DREAMS.”

Release Date: The collection is slated to drop in the summer of 2019. More details to follow.

Editor’s Notes: In today’s economic climate, the prospect of following your dreams can seem fiscally irresponsible, if not impossible. But Havana-born designer, Yulexis Argota, wants you to “SELL EVERYTHING INVEST IN YOUR DREAMS,” with a collection that is both an exploration of human ambition and testament to the power of following your dreams.

Each unique piece in the collection “encourages the fashion lovers to explore the reason why we work so hard to achieve our dreams and offers encouragement to never give up.” This might seem like an unsustainable objective during such austere times, but Argota's collection is bursting with optimism.

"DREAMS" is one big positive affirmation, with graphic T-shirts that read “Dreams Out Of This World" and "Don't Waste Time Don't Waste Ideas.” A strong indictment to quit your day job in 2019, and follow what’s important.
