There are very few cars on Earth that can excite a man's inner child like a Ford Mustang. It's the quintessential, bad-ass machine; the stuff of every mental car chase; the automobile equivalent of a black leather jacket, dark sunglasses, and a half-smoked cigarette. What's more, this year it's celebrating its 50th birthday.

To mark that fact, Ford have announced they'll be producing a very special edition of everyone's favorite muscle car, dubbed simply the 50th Anniversary Edition 2015 Mustang. Produced in a criminally limited run of just 1,964 vehicles (the number derived from the year it first started production), this collector's edition 'Stang will be available in just two colors—Kona Blue or Wimbledon White—and in just two options, manual or automatic. The 5-litre, 420 bhp V8 engine isn't up for discussion; it's absolutely mandatory. Humming the theme to "Bullitt" while you drive it, however, is entirely your call.

No announcement has been made on a sale date yet, so keep 'em peeled for more info.
