Le Coq Sportif has returned with a new pack of clean white sneakers, this time celebrating tennis players Arthur Ashe and Yannick Noah.

Ashe and Noah first met in Cameroon, in 1969, when Noah was just 9 years old. Ashe liked Noah’s tennis skills, handed him a racket and recommended that he move back to France, his mother’s homeland, to train. Seven years later the pair was playing doubles together at Wimbledon.

To celebrate the love and mutual respect between the pair, Le Coq Sportif has put together an exclusive new pack featuring the two shoes that bear these tennis legends’ names: the Arthur Ashe and the Noah Comp 1978. Both models have been upgraded with white full-grain leather with gold details and a translucent green outer sole. The insoles come with photos of the two players.

The pack is yet another solid release from the often overlooked and underrated French brand. If you’re looking for sweet kicks that nobody else is rocking, look out for the two pairs hitting Le Coq Sportif stores and other select retailers later this month.
