Highsnobiety

Our Under the Radar series is made in collaboration with SSENSE. Each month, we shine the light on a new, burgeoning talent that you can shop at the retailer. Encompassing all sides of the contemporary style spectrum, this series acts as a measure of where luxury fashion is headed in the coming years.

The brainchild of the people behind the Chinese label JNBY (Just Naturally Be Yourself) A Personal Note 73 was founded in 2019. Using the mind of Andrea Pompilio, too, who has previously held design posts at Prada, Calvin Klein, and Saint Laurent, A Personal Note 73 has officially only been alive for 3 years, but it’s backed by a wealth of experience.

And really, you can tell. Anyone who’s ever tried creating any garment will tell you how hard it is. That’s why most fledgling labels opt for graphic tees or tote bags to begin with. A Personal Note 73 looks to reinvent menswear staples right out the door and if that’s not a sign of previous experience then nothing is.

From perfectly executed casual blazers cut from hard-wearing cotton canvas to acid-dyed trousers with immaculately tailored flared silhouettes, the A Personal Note 73 collection is an ode to the classics while also updating them for a bold new generation.
