Acne Studios Fall/Winter 2021 Denim Selection takes all of the legwork out of finding the perfect pair of jeans.

By now, you’re sure to be familiar with the Scandinavian approach to design, characteristic of Acne Studios. Unless you’re a long-time follower of the brand, its humble beginnings may be somewhat of a mystery.

Despite still feeling like a very new brand, Acne began building its cult status and standing amongst fashion’s top-tier from the ground over a decade ago. Beginning its journey in 1996 as a creative collection helmed by Jonny Johannson, Acne would find its footing through denim. The team created 100 pairs of raw denim jeans with red stitching, which moved through Stockholm’s creative underground via friends and family, and kickstarting its continued success.

This selection of 100 pairs set the foundations of what Acne Studios would grow to become and how integral denim would be to its DNA. Throughout seasonal releases, denim has undergone constant evolution, with styles such as the 1996 and the new 2021 giving the category a distinct visual identity.

As Acne’s efforts in other categories such as outerwear and footwear have become focal points of the brand offering, denim has remained key. For Fall/Winter 2021, the denim selection on offer (like many brands in a post-lockdown world) looks to the outdoors as a point of inspiration, resulting in “Earth” and “Clay Blue” washes.

The Acne Studios Fall/Winter 2021 Denim Selection is available online now.
