And, honestly, it’s not exactly what you’d expect from a golf shoe. The slip-on arrives in Khaki Three and Core Black, with a chunky, almost hiking-inspired shape that gives it plenty of personality. It’s the sort of thing that looks just as at home with a pair of baggy trousers as it does next to a golf bag.

The upper keeps things simple with a textile construction, while the mule shape means there’s no faffing around with laces. You can slip it on properly or wear it with the heel folded down, depending on how much effort you’re willing to put in. adidas branding is kept fairly subtle, too.

Underfoot, a rubber outsole provides the grip, while the whole thing is built around comfort rather than looking like a traditional golf shoe. It’s not trying to hide its golfing roots, but it certainly doesn’t scream them either.

At $100, this might be one golf shoe you actually want to wear off the course.
