Editor's Notes: Few people on this planet can boast an array of talents quite as broad as those of Pharrell Williams. At 49 years young (honestly, has the man ever aged?), the producer, rapper, singer, sneaker and apparel designer, and skincare enthusiast, has a portfolio of work that rivals most.

Seemingly, there is no limit to his influence, and rightly so – the guy's proven his eye and ear for great music and product.

Where his efforts in the sneaker world are concerned, I find it difficult to think of anything other than the 2014 Superstar Supercolor Pack. Those shell toes were everywhere – I'm certainly guilty of owning a pair.

Fast forward to the summer of 2016, and the pair launched the first NMD Hu, which would become one of Three Stripe's most popular silhouettes. The Pharrell effect was underway, with countless releases (and near-instant sellouts) following closely behind.

Now, for SS22, the design language of the NMD S1 and the original NMD before it evolve with the hiking-inspired Hu NMD S1 RYAT boot.

The sneaker, created through a series of 3D prototypes, offers a functional design in a mixed fabrication of premium suede and leather overlays coupled with a rubberized TPU mudguard and toecap for an elevated sense of utility.

For the finishing touches to the silhouette, a BOOST midsole is paired with a Trefoil-shaped rugged outsole grip, rendered in a largely whitewashed palette touched up with pops of blue, orange, grey, and yellow.
