The Handball Spezial just went full Samba, and it works better than it has any right to.

The Spezial has always lived in the Samba's shadow, sharing the same T-toe, gum sole, and terrace DNA while ever so quietly earning its own loyal following. But this latest brown colorway closes the gap entirely.

Brown leather upper, white Three Stripes, gum sole, it's the classic Samba formula, just wearing a different name on the tongue.

And what a name to wear. The model name embossed in gold foil on the tongue and side adds a subtle touch of luxury that the Samba struggles to live up to, a small detail that makes a heap of a difference.

The laces match the rich brown upper to keep things tight and considered, while the crisp white Three Stripes and heel tab cut through cleanly for a contrast that feels timeless rather than trendy.

The retro gum sole does what it always does, grounds the silhouette and ties everything back to adidas' terrace heritage.
