The adidas AS1 Take on Summer Tour continues in Germany this year, bringing some of the finest streetball to the country’s capital. The two-part event kicked off last week with a Pro tournament featuring NBA star Kristaps Porzingis and will continue on August 12 with the AS1 Youth Edition.

Organized in cooperation with online sneaker destination Kickz and national basketball heroes Alba Berlin, this year's events took place at Alba Berlin's AS1 Streetball court, which was built last summer in collaboration with the city of Berlin to support the city's burgeoning streetball scene.

The first round of the Berlin edition went down on July 14, when the New York Knicks forward Porzingis got the crowd hyped by demoing his skills and playing a game of bump out with budding players. Dunk Elite—a crew of world-class dunkers—then took to the court for a slam dunk contest judged by Porzingis and Alba Berlin's newly signed Pro, Johannes Thiemann. The day ended in a Pro tournament with all of the players donning the newly released Harden Vol. 2 "Summerpack" sneaker on court.

On August 12, adidas’ AS1 Take on Summer Tour continues in Berlin with a mentoring event for under 18s. The event is free to attend and any streetball fans in town are invited to stop by for some basketball action.
