Editor’s Notes: After a three-year wait, adidas has reconciled with married designer pair Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode of HYKE to deliver an impressive FW20 drop of technically-minded apparel and footwear.

The apparel collection sees oversized crewneck staples updated with a splattered "white noise" pattern in black/white and black/tan along with "adventure" inscribed under the logo. Elsewhere there’s exaggerated yet tasteful options for outerwear layering including asymmetrical skirts, leggings, belted ankle-sweeping coats, and oversized belted jackets featuring a surprising ruched finish along the seam.

For the footwear, HYKE has updated several versions of adidas’ more form-fitting silhouettes including the FYW, and the FYW XTA (rigged with a BOA lacing system), and cut-out sandal-style models in the collection's recurring white, black, and beige color scheme.

To highlight the movability of the new collection HYKE enlisted bouldering world cup champion and Olympic medalist Miho Nonaka to debut the new pieces as she seemingly defies gravity scaling walls in the video below.
