Following Nuno Espirito Santo's departure from Tottenham Hotspur after just 10 games in the Premier League, the club is now welcoming Antonio Conte as its new manager.

Conte has reportedly signed an 18-month contract with the option to extend and comes to a club after a couple of tumultuous months. The previous manager Jose Mourino was sacked earlier this year following the drama around the European Superleague, with only 51% of his games at Tottenham resulting in victory.

Tottenham has seen a rough start to the season. Over summer, the squad's star player Harry Kane was looking to leave the team, but ended up staying after multiple discussions. With Conte as the new manager, fans of the team are divided.

Coming from a background at both Chelsea and Inter Milan, Conte comes in with new experience that will help re-shape the team and build the squad back up following their 3-0 loss against Manchester United over the weekend.

Many are hoping that Harry Kane will see the same growth as Romelu Lukaku did under Conte's management, returning the England player to top shape.

Although many see huge opportunities down the line, fans are also concerned that Conte has only signed an 18-month contract. Many mean that Tottenham will need more than 18 months to turn the ship around, especially after all the changes throughout 2021.

Conte was previously rumored to potentially succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjær at Manchester United, before the Spurs news broke. It remains to be seen whether the new manager will be able to achieve more success at Tottenham.

Conte's first game in charge of Spurs will be on Thursday night against Vitesse Arnhem, and then this Sunday against Everton at Goodison Park.
