Those are some mighty nice shoes you have there, Mr. Tin Man. Mind if adidas turns them up a bit?

In collaboration with Arte Antwerp, adidas created a F50 Motion sneaker fit for Tin Woodman himself. The F50, a lightweight soccer sneaker, has successfully made the transition from on-pitch staple to streetwear go-to.

This pilgrimage was slow, starting with a Lionel Messi co-sign that propelled the lightweight shoe to prominence in the early to mid 2010s.

At just 165 grams, the F50 was one of the lightest football sneakers of the time. Obviously, things have gotten considerably slimmer in the decade or so since, but at the time, the F50 was the skinniest sneaker around.

Fast forward to today, and the F50 has become quite the cool kid. This is thanks in no small part to the bevy of cool collabs the F50 has found itself at the center of.

From Bad Bunny's caged-in take on the slim footie sneaker to Young Thug's SP5DER x F50 Formotion, collaborative influences have been a mainstay in the F50's evolution. Arte Antwerp's chromed-out interpretation of the trim sneaker is just one in quite an impressive list of F50 sneakers.

With hand-stitched interior lining, lightweight nylon, and a perforated Three Stripes, Arte Antwerp's F50 Motion has a lot of charming attributes. Perhaps most importantly, though, this Tin Man-esque F50 has heart. No magical journey required.
