Montreal-based retailer SSENSE knows how to deliver a compelling editorial. The luxe online destination's recent interviews with Big Sean, A$AP Ferg, and Bakar featured some standout fits for the Fall/Winter season, ones which made us want to slip on shiny Prada loafers, hand-dyed bleached denim, and delicate mohair sweaters by Rick Owens.

Neo-Los Angeles Style via Big Sean

In his interview with SSENSE, Big Sean details the ongoings in the surprisingly wellness-orientated life he's built for himself in his Beverly Hills mansion, formerly the home of famed hedonist, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash.

So it's out with the cocaine and strippers, and in with the – according to Big Sean – "coconut milk...and meal-plan-type snacks." It doesn't get more Los Angelean than that.

Also repping Los Angeles was the styling. In particular, the vest from S.R Studio L.A, CA., the design studio from artist-turned-designer Sterling Ruby, who made a name for himself in fashion circles for his work as a long-time collaborator with Raf Simons.

Here, the hand-dyed vest is matched with some white paneled cargo pants from NASASEASONS, featuring two demonic eyes printed just below the waist. You can recreate the mash-up of clean and dirty with the denim bleached overalls below.

Crystal Shirts and Loafers From A$AP Ferg

Following the release of his latest EP, A$AP Ferg sat with SSENSE to get his nails done.

Ferg – depicted here before he died his hair green – performs a classic menswear pose of "hold finger to jaw pensively" and is doing bits for the world of monochromatic styling while doing so. The white bowling shirt is leveled up with crystal-embellished floral graphic appliqués down the front, meanwhile, the fit down below is balanced out with a pair of wide-legged black pants from Burberry.

The relatively blank color palette allows Ferg to really deliver with some impactful footwear, in this case, a pair of patent leather loafers from Prada in fire-engine red with a cheeky 1.5-inch heel too.

The Mohair Vibe from Bakar

London artist Bakar spoke with SSENSE about his first EP Will You Be My Yellow, which was released in September and includes a track with Dominic Fike.

Photographed on home turf in London, Bakar also wears a hand-dyed piece from S.R. Studio L.A. CA. but takes it in a different direction to Big Sean by pairing it with a semi-transparent mohair-blend sweater from Rick Owens, and a pair of leather/suede mountain boots from Moncler.
