Balenciaga pays homage to iconic 1999 movie The Matrix in its new Summer 2019 campaign film by artist and filmmaker Jon Rafman. The intriguing clip spans nearly two minutes, recreating various scenes from The Matrix, complete with low-fi special effects, and set in a laboratory and on city streets.

The fashion house's tiny sunglasses are a perfect fit for the piece, as they are a clear focal point throughout. In addition to the eyewear, models/actors don other styles from Balenciaga's Summer 2019 collection, ranging from all-black suits and boxy blazers, to trench coats, all-over print tops, and the label's standout Track sneaker.

The slightly unusual visual treatment is really nothing new for Balenciaga. Regardless, you can check it out now above.

Expect the house's Summer 2019 collection to launch in the coming weeks.
