Only the perpetually divisive Demna Gvasalia could drop a campaign that leaves reactions ranging from “Amazing! I like it! each is unique and individual ! Bravo!!!” to “i’ve never been so uncomfortable” in the comments section.

Balenciaga’s latest Instagram campaign shows the Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection in a series of disturbing videos directed by Copenhagen-based artist Yilmaz Sen. The distortions begin from the onset and actually kind of complement Balenciaga’s oversized and off-beat aesthetic, styled by regular brand associate Lotta Volkova.
