Top Buyers Share the Grails of This Season's Bags
From totes to backpacks; side bags to duffels, with every season comes a new bag trend. For SS19 we were presented with more diversity than ever before, and following their insights into the best jackets, pants, tees, and more, we've called on the industry experts to share their take on the very best now hitting the shelves of luxury retailers.
Calling on everyone from the main players in luxury fashion e-commerce to boutique stores such as London's MACHINE-A and Stockholm's TRÈS BIEN, the round-up below is sure to have a bag for every aesthetic, each blending functionality with some seriously high fashion clout.
Most notably, the bags of Belgian fashion house Maison Margiela have been selected by three out of the nine buyers we talked to, a testament to just how iconic its transparent PVC totes have become since they debuted on the runway. Other buyers opted for the SS19 highlights of Raf Simons poster backpacks, signature OFF-WHITE side bag, and classic Burberry check duffel.
