Burberry's Spring/Summer 2020 collection has begun to percolate online, including this zip panel technical cotton parka in optic white.

The silhouette, technical fabric, and contrast panelling hits like a Craig Green creation, but this is actually the modern direction of Burberry under Riccardo Tisci, who has been tweaking the house codes since his appointment as chief creative officer in 2018.

In lieu of the brand’s iconic (and controversial) nova check pattern, this piece has a clean, Peter Saville-designed text logo on the chest. The knee-length parka can also be folded and zipped to the waist for a sportier silhouette.

Although parkas tend to veer towards military-wear design nods (or oversized proportions as per Kanye West's recent fit), this coat has a laboratory vibe with clean mesh netting inside the hood, extended drawstrings, velcro-tab cuffs, and an extra zip on the back panel.
