You Can Still Be Sexy in Your Winter Jacket

Haider Ackermann taps this libidinal vein in “Axis of Endurance,” his Fall/Winter 2026 capsule Snow Goose collection for Canada Goose. Yes, we can gain ancient human knowledge from something as simple as a goose-down jacket when we consider outerwear as romantically literal, “a protective environment around the body,” as stated in the collection’s press release.
There’s a tangible Ackermann sexiness applied to the otherwise tactical performance-wear Canada Goose champions, a slinky expression the designer has achieved in his tenure as creative director. Colors like “Acid Orange” and “Flaming Rose” combine with soft textures like faux-fur trapper hats to locate a more editorial kind of flamboyance as opposed to reading as sportswear, an edge he’s been able to hone in on in his Tom Ford tenure as well, the ski-chic Brady-02 sunglasses a perfect example.
There are two major Snow Goose firsts to talk about in this collection, involving leather and a shoe. Canada Goose’s stone-cold classic Chilliwack Bomber is reimagined, rendered in a deep black as well as a rich brown leather, the color nearing a neutral chocolate but with added depth from the warm cognac undertone. As for on-feet, the Snow Goose label’s first footwear venture comes in the form of high-calf rubber rain boots. Some even have a block heel to keep with Ackermann’s sexy theme.
In “Axis of Endurance” we have Canada Goose, powered by the enduring spirit of Canadian heritage-based winter performance wear, supercharged with the distinctive verve of Ackermann. I mean, when else could you ever unironically serve in a down-feather coat?
