Workwear? Nah, We're Here For Carhartt WIP Homeware
When it comes to turning classic workwear shapes into style-conscious casualwear, Carhartt WIP has established itself as a frontrunner. But when it comes to homeware, not so much.
The brand's been experimenting with creating accessories to furnish the home for some time — personally, I've got the canvas magazine stand from a few years ago and the Verse Rug on my wishlist. However, the homeware doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves.
As its SS23 collection continues to hit shops with re-worked icons from its archive and trail-ready outdoor-wear, it's once again been joined by a selection of furnishings that have flown relatively under the radar.
Utilizing its typical canvas fabric for more than just double-knee pants and chore coats, this includes a washing basket and a planter set which both come in the brand's iconic brown hue and feature its square-shaped woven label.
Carhartt WIP's not just re-imagining home furnishings in the same fabrics as its clothing though, the new drop also has everything from a doormat to a heavy-duty meal tray created together with Cambro.
Plus, there are plates and cups that mean you can even incorporate the classic American label into your table decorations.
Of course, fashion brands making homeware is nothing new — we just dropped a limited edition selection of cups and plates with Sunnei, for example. However, few brands have managed to make the switch from clothing to home goods with more finesse than Carhartt WIP.
As much as we all love a bit of workwear, I know what I'm looking to cop from the brand's new collection.
