Product images of a Color Skates x Nike SB Dunk High have leaked online, giving us our first look at the project rumored to be dropping later this year. Color Skates, which is based in Athens, Greece, has taken inspiration from one of Greece’s most famous culinary dishes: the gyro.

Greek gyro is a dish made from meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie. It is derived from the lamb-based doner kebab. In Greece and Cyprus it is prepared most often with pork or chicken.

The Color Skates x Nike SB Dunk High “Kebab & Destroy” (a play on skate and destroy) features a color scheme that mirrors that of a gyro kebab. Tan and light brown suede is a nod to pita bread, while brown elephant print is supposed to represent the meat. A white toe box represents the tzatziki sauce, while tomato red is found on the laces and the Swoosh. The sneaker also features co-branded detailing on the tongue tag and heels, as well as special, printed insoles.

A release date — official nor rumored — is not known at this point, but it looks like this SB Dunk High will turn out to be one of the tastiest releases later this year.

As always, stay tuned for more information.
