To complement its clothing and denim, for which the brand is instantly recognizable, Diesel is launching a techy new sneaker line that could potentially step on the competition’s toes.

Not unlike many sneaker designs of late, SKB is all about innovation and how fashion-technology can be used with both aesthetic and functional purpose. Diesel's S-KBY silhouette leads the charge, and we got ahold of a few pairs for a tech-inspired shoot.

Technology is no longer novel, it’s a fully integrated part of our everyday lives; as such, the S-KBYs are designed for everyday wear. Preparing them for such a task is a lightweight, flexible and breathable camo knit upper supported by an intricate phylon outsole. While the upper wraps the foot like a sock, the outsole guarantees a soft and comfortable step.

These functional integrations certainly don't come at the expense of a strong aesthetic. The silhouette features a branded heel stabilizer, back tab and suede detailing, plus a 3D print logo. It's available in a total of seven colors; our shoot above includes the black, white, red and military green models.

This is just the beginning of sportswear-inspired design for Diesel. The brand recently developed the Diesel X capsule collection with similar goals and to great success and promised it would continue to inject elements of athleisure into its collections where relevant.

Check out Diesel’s S-KBY above and if you’ve got the urge to cop, head over to Diesel’s website via the link below.
