Three years. It's been three years since we were last on the receiving end of a Childish Gambino project – almost to the day. Comfortably nestled into the multi-hyphenate, uber-talented pool alongside the likes of Pharrell and the late Virgil Abloh, Childish Gambino, known outside of music as Donald Glover, is a busy man.

So busy, in fact, that music has taken somewhat of a backseat as he continues to take TV and film by storm – naturally, as the on-screen and real-life Lando Calrissian. Don't believe me? Take a look at his style.

Rising to television fame as Troy Barnes in the beloved NBC sitcom Community from 2009-2014, Donald Glover made it clear to the world that "busy" would forever be his modus operandi, working on his music career from as early as 2006 before transforming into the Childish Gambino we know and love in 2011.

A whirlwind career that's seen him become a key cultural icon, piecing together the wildly adored Atlanta and joining the cast of the Disney-era Star Wars.

Take a breath. So, where's the music at? As previously mentioned, it's been three years since the last album, and fans are hungry.

Well, the time has come. Back in 2021, the star signed a deal with Amazon Studios that would see him deliver a trilogy of projects, the first of which, Swarm, directed and executive produced by Glover, has received its first trailer.

While Glover's return to TV following the close of Atlanta's final season is enough to get excited about, the trailer features a new Childish Gambino track titled "Sticky."

This a great sign for Gambino fans – one that we can only hope means a new string of productions spells the arrival of a new album.
