With summer winds blowing in over the coming months, it’s never been a better time to upgrade your warm weather wardrobe. For most, this means injecting some sport-inspired simplicity into the closet—finding the balance between accessible aesthetics, breezy basics and sidewalk-stealing style. Fortunately for those stocking up for the upcoming summer season, FILA’s managed to mix all of those elements into their latest men’s collection.

Coming in two parts—apparel and footwear—the global sportstyle icon has set itself up for a fashion-forward summer. Starting with menswear, the brand’s nine-piece offering builds on several of FILA’s original ideas and designs. From a matching T-shirt and short combo in dip-dyed ombré jersey, to french terry sweats with embossed FILA branding, this Heritage capsule collection covers practically any flavor of summer style. Polos, baseball shirts and clean logo tees round out the rest of the apparel offering.

Of course high-key summer style isn’t complete without the proper pair of kicks, and FILA doesn't disappoint. The Tradition Pack taps FILA’s roster of retro sneakers and modernizes them for the season. Naturally incorporating both the label’s signature red, white and blue colorway, the footwear also features perforated leather uppers and throwback detailing.

Starting with the Original Tennis, the silhouette is covered in an all-over perforated upper, adding in FILA’s iconic flag branding. The Original Fitness also incorporates a perforated leather treatment, but includes top-quality flat leather on the heel counter. Next, the mid-top F-13 keeps things a little simpler than its Original Tennis and Original Fitness counterparts, isolating the perforated leather to the midsole and toebox. This iteration of the F-13 is anything but boring however; set atop a gum sole, this all-white colorway receives a subtle pop of color via low-key logo hits from the strap to sidewall. Closing out the footwear is the ever-popular Drifter slide, which, thanks to the brand’s terry cloth overlay, takes direct cues from FILA’s tennis headbands from their most famous tennis ambassador in the ‘70s.

For FILA, their design DNA is a springboard, not only for this summer 2017 collection, but it’s at the very core of everything the brand creates. That DNA guarantees an authentic, iconic look and feel that immediately identifies those who wear it as unique, original and ready to defy expectations. With a diverse roster of apparel hitting shelves in the Heritage capsule collection, and a summerized selection of footwear in the Tradition Pack, FILA has your warm weather wardrobe set up. Head over to FILA’s webshop to snatch the brand’s latest release.
