Known world-wide as the site of Lincoln's assassination, Washington D.C.'s Ford's Theater will reopen next week as part of a new museum complex. The timing is advantageous, the week marks Lincoln's 200 birthday. Today the NYT reviews the new enterprise, which includes the nearby Peterson House. Like at Memphis' Civil Rights Museum, the power of place will work to enhance the ideas presented.
