Editor’s Notes: This season, Fumito Ganryu takes on one of Salomon’s most iconic and fashion-forward silhouettes, the XT-4 ADV. The trail runner is stripped back, with the Japanese designer opting for a simple black and white color scheme. This adds a layer of versatility to a sneaker that was originally designed with the outdoors in mind. With its sleek colorway, the Fumito Ganryu x Salomon XT-4 ADV can be worn casually just as easily as on the trails.

“The XT-4 is known as one of the most iconic trail running models, I would like to give the model a modern and sharp design impression to be styled and worn on daily occasions,” Fumito-san tells Highsnobiety. “I can envision myself wearing [this model, so]I designed it with a modern color way.”
