Double Tap to Zoom

Lena Headey, who played Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, recently revealed she filmed a miscarriage scene that was cut from the show.

Speaking at German Comic Con in Munich this week, Headey said the scene, which was filmed for season seven, was a "traumatic, great moment for Cersei," adding, "I kind of loved doing that because I thought it would’ve served her differently."

Given that both Headey's talent as an actor and Cersei's villainy were somewhat under-utilized in the show's last two seasons — she was mostly seen sipping wine and glaring out of high windows — we have to agree.

Headey also admitted in an interview with The Guardian that she'd imagined a different death for her character: "I will say I wanted a better death. Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted."
