Getting a Birkin bag from Hermès is nearly impossible as it stands, but getting your hands on the label's Himalaya bag is even harder.

Now, there's one available on the luxury vintage site What Goes Around Comes Around– and it is currently listed at $175,000 USD.

Thankfully, the bag is discounted. It was initially retailing at $195,000, which means whoever is the lucky buyer will save $20,000. Casual!

So why is the Hermès Himalaya Birkin so expensive? @fashionphile A Himalaya Birkin? Jackpot! It is so exclusive because so few are made ✨ #fashionphile #usedisthenewnew #birkin #hermes #himalayabag #designerbags ♬ original sound - Fashionphile

The bag is crafted from Crocodile Niloticus, which is the skin of the Nile crocodile, which has been hand-dyed to feature a white-to-grey ombré effect, which has received the name "Himalaya" because of its resemblance to the snowy mountains.

For Hermès collectors, the Himalaya bag is one of the most sought-after pieces on the market as there are only a few of them made, and it is very rare that one hits the market as they would only ever be offered to very important clients of the house, and even then it happens extremely rarely.

Celebs including the one and only Kris Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and more are some of the lucky owners of one.

There's only one bag that is harder to come by, and it is the Himalaya with diamond hardware, which retails for just above half a million dollars.

It may seem insane that collectors would be paying this insane amount of money for what some would call "just a bag," an Hermès Birkin is an instant investment, as the bag's value increases by approximately 14% every single year. Time to ditch those NFTs and cop a Birkin, I think.

If you want to take a closer look, the Birkin is available at What Goes Around Comes Around, and can only be shipped within California.
