Nike’s Black Italian Air Max Dress Shoe Is Straight From 2002
Nike's next Air Max Dolce sneaker is straight from the archives.
No seriously. The upcoming release features familiar black uppers and red Air soles. Essentially, Nike has brought back the original Air Max Dolce colorway from 2002.
Nike quietly teased these pairs during August's SNKRS Verified. However, they were admittedly overshadowed by the Cheetos-flavored Vomero Plus sneakers and ultra-hairy, ultra-orange Air Force 1s featured in the preview.
No worries, though. The OG Air Max Dolce is getting its proper moment.
The red-bottomed Air Max Dolce sneakers are scheduled to release on October 3 on Footdistrict's website for 160€, roughly $182. It's safe to assume they'll land at more stores in the coming weeks.
Expect the signature "Italian dress shoe meets Nike runner" energy, including laceless caged uppers and Air Max technology underfoot.
We've seen a few nice color options for the Air Max Dolce revival, including slick COMME des GARÇONS spins and sweet pink general releases. But the "Black/Sport Red" pairs are easily the most classic.
