Designer: HYKE

Location: Tokyo Fashion Week

Season: FW19

Key Pieces: Check the long Mountain Parka in slide #9 with added drawstrings at the side

Editor’s Notes: Japanese womenswear label HYKE showed its FW19 collection at Amazon Tokyo Fashion Week today. Designers Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode ("HYKE" is a portmanteau of their first names) presented military-inspired, asymmetrical womenswear alongside a hotly-anticipated collaboration with The North Face.

Following from the brown/black colorways we saw in January, today's collaborative pieces arrived in a muted palette of dark olive green. Combining HYKE's streamlined aesthetic with GORE-TEX neck accessories and large oversized logos, the combination of highly-technical outdoor wear with elegant Japanese craftsmanship makes this one of the most covetable The North Face collabs to date.
