We’ve got good news for Simone Bellotti stans (or, really, anyone who loves a svelte racer shoe). Jil Sander and PUMA’s collaborative leather Speedcat is back. And this season, it’s been given a full-on accompanying fit.

As we can exclusively reveal on Highsnobiety, the two brands’ long-running partnership now includes a revamped 1968 PUMA T7 tracksuit and a relaxed-fit long-sleeve (plus a new take on the PUMA Suede sneaker, as a treat)—all available on October 23, with first-look access through Jil Sander's newsletter.

This expansion into ready-to-wear signals a new era for one of fashion’s most endearing collabs and lays out a clear roadmap for the direction Bellotti is taking Jil Sander. Namely, it’s a return to the minimal yet sporty, clean-but-cool (but slightly weird) codes Mrs. Sander herself set decades ago.

It was Sander who first teamed up with fellow German brand PUMA in 1998, transforming shoes like the King football boot and Easy Rider jogger into premium leather sneakers. The move sent shockwaves through the fashion world, since luxury brands simply didn’t do sneaker collabs at the time. (Oh, how times have changed!)

“We were the first to conceive of a luxury sneaker,” Sander said in a 2023 interview. “We opened the door to customization, limited editions, glamour sneakers. It was the logical next step for the sports industry.”

After that initial collab wrapped in 2006, it was Bellotti’s appointment as creative director at Jil Sander in 2025 that brought the two brands back together. Like old friends picking up where they left off, the partnership has returned stronger than ever, with some new tricks up its sleeve (literally, in this case). For Bellotti, this move into apparel — first spotted at the Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2027 show — was a natural progression in the two brands’ dialogue.

"PUMA has always understood that sport is culture,” he told Highsnobiety. “Returning to its archive feels less like looking back and more like continuing a conversation that began almost thirty years ago.” With this first step into head-to-toe fits that match the perfectly tweaked sneakers, that conversation just got a lot more interesting.
