At the beginning of the year, we reported on Jimmy Butler being the most high-profile sneaker free agent in the NBA. It appears that Butler has finally found a new home, as the Miami Heat shooting guard/small forward has reportedly signed a deal with Li-Ning.

ESPN's Nick DePaula broke the news today on Twitter saying, "Butler has agreed to a significant multi-year signature shoe deal with Li-Ning." He follows Heat legend Dwyane Wade in becoming the face of the brand.

Jimmy Buckets will become a part of the Li-Ning family after previously being sponsored by adidas and most recently, Jordan Brand from 2014 to 2020. He joins CJ McCollum, D'Angelo Russell, Fred VanVleet, RJ Hampton, and fellow member of the Miami Heat, Udonis Haslem, on Li-Ning's endorser roster for the 2020-2021 NBA season. Dwyane Wade, who paved the way for each player on the Li-Ning hoops roster, has a lifetime deal with the Chinese sportswear brand.

Butler's deal with Li-Ning comes as the Miami Heat recently came up short in the NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Specifics surrounding his shoe contract have yet to be revealed.
