Basketball legend and Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith has released an ultra special edition backpack with New York’s masters of in-your-face streetwear apparel, Sprayground.

Personally collaborating with founder David Ben-David, the backpacks feature Smith’s hometown of Newark, NJ, where J.R. grew up playing b-ball on the streets in local park and courts. A classic, sturdy rucksack silhouette, the bags feature padded shoulder straps, a generous main compartment, a smaller zip top pocket lid, as well as a motif of J.R. himself across the front.

This drops the same time as Sprayground’s sister label specializing in basketball, Battleground, release a fresh set of four new basketballs, livening up the monotonous and monochromatic product category with their bold colorways and trademark graphic-heavy designs.

Constructed from custom printed composite leather, the prints include the appropriately named "Fire Money" ball, the one they call "Leopard Drips", the "Galaxy Money" sphere and the "Biggie Ball".

This is not the first time that Battleground or Sprayground has pushed forward in terms of designs and partnering up on cool collaborations, with previous releases with New York Giants wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., as well as with living rap legend The Game.

Take a first look at the new rucksack with J.R. Smith as well as Battleground new b-balls, above, before copping at their online store and selected retailers from tomorrow, October 20.
