Junya Watanabe MAN's next New Balance release? A quietly luxe basketball shoe.

With the P400 at center court, Junya Watanabe MAN strips it down to the usual all-white and all-black colorways and gives it some formal styling. From there, we're left with these super-minimalist, dressy P400 sneakers wrapped in ultra-sleek leather and clean wavy lines.

And most importantly, it's still got game.

Indeed, expect all the basketball-ready features, including chunky soles cushioned with New Balance's Fresh Foam technology (also used in its other performance sneakers, like its trail runners and walking shoes).

New Balance's general-release efforts have been futuristic and stylish for the most part, some almost too good-looking for the court, if I'm being honest. But that's today's hoops shoes for ya. They're designed to look good on and off the court.

The P400 certainly passed the vibe check on the runway, with the Junya Watanabe collaboration debuting during the brand's January's Paris Fashion Week show. And now, it's finally here.

The New Balance P400 collab is expected to drop on October 16 at Junya Watanabe MAN stores.
